Intensive outpatient treatment or psychiatric day treatment can vary in terms of the amount of time spent in treatment and how many times a week your teen is required to go. These programs are often the next step up from regular outpatient treatment.

Throughout a stay at an Encompass Health hospital, our patients receive routine visits from a physician experienced in rehabilitation and a dedicated case manager, who coordinates each patient's care and ensures all needs are met and questions answered.

There are also public facilities and non-profit organizations that provide low-cost or free substance abuse treatment in Dallas and the surrounding areas for those who could otherwise not afford it. Homeward Bound Inc and Phoenix House , are two of these organizations that provide detox, inpatient, and outpatient services in Dallas and the surrounding areas.

Most importantly, the adolescent brain continues to benefit from a close bond with a parent or other adult for different reasons than it did during the early years, including how to help kids feel competent and resourceful —a known antidote to stress and anxiety in teens.

At BasePoint we provide 2 levels of care: Partial Hospitalization Program and Intensive Outpatient in a safe space where teens can build trust with our team while finding Bookmarks their purpose, learning healthy boundaries and coping skills, and practicing these skills with their peers, while also addressing academics with our Education Counselor.
