Preah Khan, a temple in the Angkor archaeological park, is a stunning and underrated gem. Built in 1191 by King Jayavarman VII, it features narrow corridors, courtyards, and hidden chambers. The temple's walls showcase a vibrant palette of green, black, and red, adorned with lichen and moss. Preah Khan is known as the temple of the sacred sword and was dedicated to teaching and devotion. The temple complex spans 56 hectares and includes 72 garudas and a wide moat. Conservation work has been carried out since the 1920s, and restoration efforts continue today. Exploring Preah Khan is a must for photographers, with its ever-changing colors and unique atmosphere.
